Hello everyone,

I recently ran across the following web site:
As email to the author bounced, I'm hoping that someone here can help me out.

I'm looking for information on Miles FIELDS (b ca 1790 prob. in Jefferson County (old Burke County), GA and died August 10, 1880 in Albany, Dougherty County, GA buried in Oakview Cemetery, Albany, Dougherty County, GA). Wife ? This Miles FIELDS line is out of Jefferson County, GA, which is where my husband's family is from.

His daughter is Christian Elmina FIELDS (b Bet. 1827 in Jefferson County, GA - 1833 died February 14, 1909 buried Oakview Cemetery, Albany, Dougherty County, GA).

She married 1) Jeremiah Walters aka Jerry (1808-October 28, 1875 died in Albany, Dougherty County, GA buried ?).
She married 2) J. J. Odum born ca 1842. She married #2 Bet. 1875 - 1880 (she was with J J Odum on the 1880 Daugherty Co census along with his niece and her father).

The above mentioned web page has the children of Christian (aka Elmina) and her first husband.
Before moving to Daugherty County, they were in Baker County, GA long enough for the 1850 census to catch them.
By 1860 they are in Daugherty County and remain in Daugherty until their deaths.

Does anyone have a listing for this cemetery? If so, can someone give me more complete date material on these folks?
Is there anyone else researching this FIELDS line?

Specifically, I'm trying to figure out if Miles FIELDS was the son of Seth FIELDS of North Carolina. Did Miles have a brother named JAMES FIELDS? If so, this brother may be my husband's line. I'm having trouble getting this FIELDS line out of Georgia (there are many lines who share the same naming patterns of Miles, John, and especially James).

Also, can anyone please give me directions to Oakview Cemetery in Albany? I'm going to Bainbridge this weekend to visit my mom and thought that if the graves are marked I'd try to find them.
