Hi, it is Dist. 8 if you check the LDS genealogy site it has a census look up and my grandprents were from Newton,Baker Co., Ga. and it was listed Dist. 8.... good luck don't forget to check the Cherokee Co. 1870 Census out too. Part of Cherokee Co. Ga. became Baker Co.......I wish someone had told me it would have saved me four years. Also don't forget the Flint river in Baker Co. was a local landmark. Liz
