Hi Penny-
I was interested in your description of the Hardup Cem-and now Tabbs-
I have known Jimmy(and his playing) most of my life-and Angie-married to another Jimmy-same family-deceased and buried Demascus-
I lived on Hardup Rd. over 25 years-and trying to figure out the part you talk of- dirt part-
It ended-at Pineland Plantation-(and Wildfare-Blue Springs Rd) so Pineland Rd-which went into Baker-is, I guess the "other end" you are talking of-or dirt end-?? Pineland, I think, comes out on Newton Rd. Further Up.
Hardup starts at what used to be called The Leary-Newton Turnoff-but there were so many wrecks there-they finally re-designed it-so that Hardup started a bit off from the other two- as did Leary Rd. And Built a fire station near there...on the Haley Farms.

Someone gave me long ago- a picture of the sign on the corner, just down from that corner-next intersection-
Corner of Lonesome and Hardup-
Lonesome Rd-was a dirt-garbage dump-now Housing. Goes from Hardup over Newton Rd-near Vanderbilt...

Anyhow-old memories.
Ms. Gerry Hill-Albany
