Since my earlier posting, I have been informed that two individuals named William Cauley lived in Wilkinson County GA area in the early 19th Century. William B. Cauley, the father of Elizabeth Jane Bailey who married John Freeman, was not the father of Lishia Cauley who married John L. Bailey. Lishia's father was older, was the person involved with the militia during the War of 1812, and had a daughter named Elizabeth who married Sparkman Bowen, Lishia's father moved to Baker County GA, and developed 3 large plantations.
