Futcher as a given name

I am writing to this group in hopes that you can enlighten me on a peculiar name of an ancestor of mine. Her name was Futcher Walker and was born abt 1896 died abt 1910. She is my 3rd Great Aunt.

I am familiar with the use of mother's maiden name as a second given name, but have never heard of a surname being used as a given name. Since the name is Futcher, perhaps some of you have heard of this?

Thank you for any and all information, I appreciate anything you may be able to point me to.
