Named after Samuel Monroe (Sam) FURR (16 Sep 1896-24 Feb 1971), son of James Edgar Furr and Laura McCoy, who lived on a farm near the Catawba river close to the road now named for him. He was a PFC, Company 324 Infantry, US Army, World War I. Notify Administrator about this message?
