I am looking for information on my mothers grandparents. Her mother was Mary Matilda Furr, she married William Jackson Weeks. Mary was born December 2, 1889, she died September 6, 1969. The only thing my Mom could remember about her grandfather was that was a civil war veteran who had lost either an arm or a leg in the war. Most of her family is buried in the cemetery in Warrenton, VA. I don't know the name of it but it is just below the courthouse. None of them have headstones, except maybe her grandfather. She couldn't remember where he was buried because he was buried in a different section of the cemetery because he was a vet.
I would appreciate any help. I am researching both sides of my family tree, but neither of my parents could remember much past their own parents.
If you have any lines that connect out of VA with the Furrs, Grimsleys, or Manuels, any help is appreicated.
