I obtained a copy of my great grandmother's nephews death certificate and the informant on the death on 8 Mar 1968 was Ralph FURNISH of 1201 E. El Dorado, W. Covina, California. I am attempting to determine if there was a family relationship as no relationship was listed for the informant.
George Grant COURTNEY died from massive skull fracture, laceration of brain and hemmorrhage shotgun wound of head, suicide on 8 Mar 1868. He was born 10 Aug 1884 and was listed as a widow. He was reported to be in California for the past 21 years (since 1847, probably at retirement as he was 83 when he died). His address was reported as 209 South Ave. 59, Los Angeles CA and he was buried 13 Mar 1968 at Valhalla Memorial Park by Utter McKinley Highland Park fneral home. He was reported to have worked last for 6 years with the Milwaukee Railroad.
