I have different fathers, so I am sure that there are two different people. If they are cousins, it is also probable that they gave their children similar names. The large and similarly named children amoung Quaker families makes it hard to sort out the various families.

1900 Census:
Seth Furnas, born July 1835, (age 64/65)living in Decatur Township, Marion County, Indiana. No other family with him.

Seth Furnas, born June 1883, (age 17) living in Valverd Township, Sumner County, Kansas. He is listed as Brother-in-law of Charles Prater born April 1810. That would make Charles'wife, Edith, born Nov. 1881, his sister.

Census 1910:
Seth W. Furnas, age 52 born Ohio, married 32 year to Emily M. age 54, children Edward age 15 and H???r age 11 located in Oxford Township, Sumner County, Kansas.
