Hi Doris, Came across this short bio on the internet for Keith Funston:
(George Keith Funston)
business executive, college president
Born: 1910
Birthplace: Waterloo, Iowa

After graduating from Trinity College (Hartford, Connecticut), and Harvard Business School, he worked as a salesman for American Radiator and Sylvania before becoming president of his undergraduate alma mater from 194551. Returning to business, he led the New York Stock Exchange from 195167, overseeing its expansion. He was a part-time chairman of the Olin Mathieson Chemical Company from 196772.

Died: 1992
There is also a book out on the General's exploits in the Philippines called "Sitting in Darkness" by David Howard Bain. It gives a fairly comprehensive bio of the general. I would be interested in a more complete bio of Keith Funston. Do you know if one was published? It was interesting that you have a brother who resembled General Funston. I saw a picture also and it reminded me of an uncle I had. I also saw a portrait of Edward Hogue Funston who was a spitting image of a cousin. We may be related - maybe 7th cousins, 14 times removed.
I don't yet know much about my Funston side. I do recall my grandmother's father was killed by a bull in Northern Ireland as well as her brother. I hope to make a trip there in the fall and visit something called PRONI which is a center for geneological research. It is in Belfast. Hope things are still calm there. Regards, Terry Hughes
