Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Charles (a sawyer, born Maresfield) and Emma (spelt Emmer, from Speldhurst, Kent) can be found in the 1851 census information living at "Forest near Fairwarp" in the parish of Maresfield. At (presumably) the same address are Charles, described as an "Ag. Lab. pauper blind", his wife, Sarah and other children. You can download this info (free) from the Funnell Family Homesite at www.funnell-family.com or www.funnell.org (Research Aids - 1851 census info) in a searchable excel file. I am intrigued by your Charles' son John W.E. - perhaps you would like to contact me off-forum : andy@funnell.org
