Hi Jim, Just by chance I came across your message in regards to George Funk Sr . I believe he is one and the same as my Great Great Grandfather who was married to a Caroline Cleveland and resided on Rock Creek Church Road,Georgetown.Washington D.C. From research my cousin did , he discovered that Caroline passed away on Wednesday Feb 8 1911 at their home and was buried at the nearby St Pauls Church on the 11th February. I am a descendant of their son, George William Funk, who travelled to the Philippine Islands in the early 1900's as a Blacksmith with the U.S Cavalry just after the Spanish-American Civil war . George William Funk passed away in the Philippines around 1943 (during the Japanese occupation) aged 82 years old which makes him around the same generation of Julia Ann Funk if they were siblings.
I am also interested in finding out if there were any other siblings and would appreciate if you would pass on any further discoveries you may come across. By the way, are you a descendant of George and Caroline?
regards
George Funk,Jr.
