I was reading a very interesting piece on the Chesterfield Co site http://www.pigggenealogy.com/index.htm about Henry Washington “Uncle Henry” Funderburk, son of Joshua C. Funderburk and Monicha Threatt. Henry first married Candis Parker, then Mary Elizabeth Moore, and also survived his third wife Mary Jane Mangum Knight, who was known as "Aunt Mollie" and was the widow of William James Knight. The story concerned his Civil War experiences. I checked my family tree info on the Funderburks as I thought I had quite a lot and wondered how he ties into our line since they were also in that area. My husband’s grt-grt gm Jane Funderburk was born 1852; Henry was born 1847. Her parents were William B. & Elizabeth Jane Miller Funderburk; Wm’s parents were Samuel & Sarah Funderburk. Jane & Henry are probably some cousins not so far removed. I’ve been searching trying to find their connection but am not coming up with anything. In the 1860 Chesterfield Co census there is a J. C., age 25, & E?? Funderburk, age 33, with Henry W. age 13 which all seems appropriate other than maybe the E??. The next residence is 73 yr old Jonnah & wife Christian? as well as a 49 yr old female ... Clonze?? and 13 yr old male...Jus..?? -- I cannot read these names. Possibly Jonnah is Joshua's father? I don't have a Jonnah Funderburk in my tree either. Does anyone have more info to share on these lines that might tie the two together? Thank you, Sandra
