Hi, I am researching the Pulliams of Elbert/Franklin co.,GA.
My gg-grandfather was Elisha Pullen from Wilkes Co., GA. The Pullen/Pulliam name is interchangeable.

I am aware of the marriage you mention between Benjamin & Jemima Fullilove Pulliam. I have come to the conclusion that James is probably not the correct name of Benjamin's father. I believe his father to be Joseph Pulliam originally from Louisa and Spotsylvania Co., VA. It is possible that his name was Joseph James or vice versa but I really don't have anything that would support that.

The reason I think Joseph was Benjamin's father was because Joseph's wife's name was Jerusha and I am told that she was a Fullilove. Plus, Benjamin named a daughter Jerusha. I have no documents to support whether her name was Fullilove. At this point it is all circumstantial. Joseph was probably born abt. 1727-1730. He was married to Jerusha by 1758, per land records in Louisa County. Does anyone have any documentation for this marriage? Thanks.
