Betty, saw your posting and thought I'd mention that Mr. Mark Green has just started the Fulford DNA testing project. I'm a Fulford descendant, so I was happy to see the DNA project underway. I'm Co-Administrator of the Morrow DNA testing project (started July 2003) and can vouch that DNA testing is very helpful in determining who's kin to whom. I recommend that any living male born with the surname Fulford (or variation) join the Fulford DNA testing project. The more the merrier. Only males can join since the DNA of the Y chromosome is tested. Female researchers can sponsor their father, brother, cousin or spouse. The Y chromosome is passed from father to son(s) virtually unchanged for eons. So it follows when two living males with the same or similar surname match Y-DNA, it is proof positive they descended from a common ancestor. The ancestor's name is not known, but the lab can predict how far back he lived, and the two or more matched lines then can zero in on who their common ancestor is. Let's spread the word about the Fulford DNA testing project, many more donors are needed. ...Bill Morrow of Oklahoma Notify Administrator about this message?
