Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I am not sure how the information was compiled or what it refers to, but I did Sorenson Genetree DNA testing a few years back and a match in the last year or so came back indicating a match on Gilbert of 100% = 43 out of 43 markers for a tree with Jane Fulcher of Patrick Springs, VA, b. 1824, d. 1893, married a Gilbert 9 Jan. 1838. To the untrained mind, this indicates to me I might be related to the Patrick Springs, VA Fulchers, and thus maybe the suspicions that my 4th-gr-grandfather Richard Fulcher was the son of John Fulcher and Susannah George may be confirmed as true. Other markers from another DNA testing site indicate I am likely related to Amherst Fulchers as we also believed. I am not sure how these results should be interpreted, believing they were DNA matches, not matching on genealogical mistakes.
Other results are confusing and unexpected.
