Hi not sure I am gonna be of much help.....just like you I am having a really hard time finding information on Fugates. My Grandmother was a Fugate before she married. Her name is Jewell Fugate Saylor. Her Father's name is Shade Fugate and her Mother's name is Alkie (Saylor) Fugate. I have the name of Grandmother's sisters and brothers, I will list them just in case this my assist you.
Cledith Fugate: Cledith Demembro: Died
Junior Fugate: Died
Harold Fugate:Died
Mildred Fugate:Mildred Saylor alive and lives in Harlan
Therman Fugate:Died
Don Fugate: alive and lives in Corbin, Kentucky
Floyd Fugate...who died at 4 years old
Nelson Fugate: Died
Deloris Ann Fugate...known as Ann....alive and lives in Harlan, Kentucky
Sandy Fugate.....child by second marriage:alive and lives in Harlan Kentucky
Jewell Fugate: Jewell Saylor, my grandmother:alive and lives in Dallas NC
