I have just been revisiting my geneology work after being too busy with work to get involved.
In reviewing your information, it appears that we have a common ancestor, generations back.
The common ancestor would be Robert Fuge b. abt 1726 died 12/21/1821 in Poundstock who married Mary Yeo (or Yow) 20 April 1755 in St. Gennys, Cornwall. I believe they are the parents of your Joseph Fuge b. 5 Jul 1759 in Poundstock, Cornwall and married to Charity Buller 11 Aug 1785 in St. Clether. Buried 27 Jan 1843 in Altarnun.
I am descended from their son Robert b 1/17/1758 who married Ann Burdon 4/26/1780. Their son Robert married Martha Bettinson. Their son Robert married Mary Marshall. Their son Thomas Fuge married Susanna Amy and is my great grandfather.
