Dr. Faris's widow has agreed to permit me to reprint and distribute Dr. Faris's book "The Fugate family of Russell County, Virginia", originally published in 1986. I am happy to do this in memory of my mother, Martha Evelyn Fugate Smith, on two conditions. First, I need to know that there is sufficient interest in this to warrant printing enough copies to make the cost not exorbitant. Second, I need the Fugate Family to tell me what new information has been learned in the last 23 years that might be included as a Supplement. I am not interested in any profit in this undertaking; rather, I hope this will be for the Fugate Family. Please let me know if you might contribute any new information and if you might be interested in purchasing a copy with or without a Supplement.
