"Typo" correction:Andrew married in Lawrence Co. TN, not AR.He is recorded in Giles Co. TN 1812 tax list along with a John.He fought in the War of 1812.He was "of Lawrence Co. TN" when he made a deed in Independence Co., AR in 1824.He is listed in the Territorial Census of AR 1830, on a tax list (Independence Co., Christian Twp.) in 1829 as well as the state census of 1829, same location. His children are named in his estate settlement in Feb. 1852, Independence Co. (order unknown) as:John, Alsa, Reuben F., Elizabeth (m. Jason Mayer), Nancy (m. John F. Layton, Mary (m. __ Brazeal), Randle.
These locations and names indicate a connection to Randolph Fugate, b. ca 1750 Frederick Co. VA, d. Nov/Dec 1816, Giles Co. TN and his wife Nancy N.Court records of Dec. 1816 refer to his will, but it has apparently been lost when Giles Co. records burned.
This Randolph and Nancy are recorded in Wilkes Co., NC, before 1780, then Rutherford Co. 1790 census and Buncome Co. NC 1800 census, and in 1800 one record in Knox Co. TN then in Garrard Co. KY until 1806 and Giles Co. TN where he died.He was apparently connected to Townsendof Garrard Co. KY
Randolph's identified children are a younger Townsend of NC and TN, b. 1774, Clara Ann who m. Wm. Jackman, Reuben, b. 1774/84 who m. Townsend's daughter Nancy and moved to MO, and Andrew of AR and perhaps a John.
I don't know of anyone who has located a record of his parents, although people have been searching for at least 30 years.
