Mrs. J. W. WALLIS Called by Death
The death angel again visited Davis--this time taking one of our city’s most noble mothers, Mrs. SUSIE E. WALLIS, wife of J. W. WALLIS. Her death was not unexpected. She had been ill for some time and had been confined to her bed more than 3 months. The end came at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 1925 which was Mr. Wallis’ birthday.

The funeral will be at the Methodist church at 3 p.m., services being conducted by her pastor, REV. A. E. WATFORD. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

MRS. WALLIS was born in Dent County, Missouri January 31, 1878. On Jan. 16, 1894, she married J. W. WALLIS and to this union four sons and four daughters were born, all living except ZELMA who died here several years ago. The sons are MARVIN WALLIS of Elgin, Illinois; ORVELL WALLIS of Oklahoma City; JOHN and ARLEIGH WALLIS of Davis; her daughters are MRS. OTIS VERNON, LOLA and MARGARET FAY. She is also survived by three brothers, E. B. FUDGE of Fort Worth; G. W. FUDGE of Milford, Texas and T. J. FUDGE of Salem, Missouri, and a half-sister MRS. G. W THOMASSON of Bridgeport, Texas.

She was a constant Christian, having a member of the Methodist Church since 14 years of age. The Wallis family has lived in our city about 10 years and in Oklahoma 19 years. The city mourns the departure of a good woman.
