Not very solid at this moment it time. I am going on speculation and a little bit of logic.
I know that the Fudge's and Boots' were neigbors Greene Co. Ohio and that somewhere there is a link with the two families. They also both came from about the same area in Virginia. Here is what I have of the Boots.

I know there is a loose link, and this might be an even a better one than what I have and it's worth doing more research.
Mary Ann Fudge married John Tressler, their daughter Anna Catherine married Jesse Boots.

There were serveral families all from about the same area of Virgina the came to Xenia and New Berlington in Greene Co OH. Those included

It is not a very big leap to figure out that all of these families would be connected. That area of Greene County in Ohio isn't very big even today.
