Hi Marji,
I am descended from Daniel Fry's 4th child Christopher. My cousin Richard Frye's wife, Doris, lists 12 children for Daniel. The 10th is Anna. All she says about Anna is "Anna appears in the Jefferson Twp. school records and the census records. It is stated in the 1850 census that she is eight years old. Anna is marked dead on Leola Stewart's 1912 work on the Fry family and she does not appear on the 1860 Richland County census.
Could this be your Nancy Anna? We, too, think Daniel's father was a Hessian soldier.
Do we have means for further exchange? so sounds like it to me!
