Phillip Frye is my ancestor. His first wife's name I don't know. If you know, please tell me, she is my link. His second wife was Mary Polly Davis. They married dec 7, 1819 in Jefferson Co., Alabama. My link is his daughter Anna Frye (born dec. 25, 1796) who married Joel BLackburn in 1849. Phillip Frye lived in Penn, Virginia, Anderson Co., Tenn, and Marshall Co., Alabama. He died on April 18, 1840. Legend has it that the Frye family did not want Joel and Anna to marry aparently for religious reasons. Joel took Anna away from her home with a shotgun. I'm not sure what religious reasons these are, and I was under the assumption that Phillip Frye had many wives. If anyone knows Phillip's first wife's name, I would love to have it! Also, would like to know his parents' names.
