I am searching for the parents of James Madison COLLINS, and his wife Temperance
Jane HALL.
James Called ''Mad or Matt'' was born abt 1829 in Patrick or Stokes County. He was a
Blacksmith and served with the Confederacy. The 1850 census shows him in the
household of John FRY, also a blacksmith and abt 20 yrs. his elder. I also found a record
of a marriage between William COLLINS and Zady FRY but no connection is found as
yet. He later worked for the PEDIGO Family of Patrick Co., VA
Temperance Called ''Impy'' was born 1-20-1831 and died 11-18-1908
