Helen M. Frye Little, 73, of Blountville, TN, went to be
with the Lord on Monday, June 22, 2009, at Bristol
Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
She was born in Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN, and had lived
in Blountville for most of her life. She was a retired
beautician.
Helen was a former member of State Line Baptist Church and
was currently a member of Gravelly Baptist Church. Both
she and her husband, Don were 1953 graduates of Lynn View
High School.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joey Wane Little;
her parents, Charles and Kathleen Leedy Frye; sisters,
Phyllis Taylor and Lois Jennings; brothers, Darrell Frye,
and Roger Frye; and son-in-law, Roger Quillen.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don Little of
the home; son, Greg Little and wife Patsy of Blountville,
TN; daughter, Lisa Quillen Morley and husband Teddy of
Blountville, TN; grandchildren, Kristy Reece, Brandon
Little, Matthew Little, Tyler Little, Cole Little and Ryan
Little; great-grandchildren, Catlyn Reece, Kristan Reece,
Seth Reece, Delaney Little and McKenna Little; sisters,
Shirley Coffey and husband Elvin of Kingsport, TN, Betty
Leonard and husband Robbie of MD; brother, Harold Frye of
Kingsport, TN; sister-in-law, Pat Frye of Church Hill, TN;
and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.,
Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520
Watauga Street, Kingsport, TN. Friends may also call
anytime at the residence.
A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral
home chapel with Pastor David Salley officiating. A
special prayer will be given by Dr. Tony Gonzales. Music
will be provided by Theresa Hilton.
A graveside service will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday,
June 26, 2009, at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to
attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:55 a.m.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport, TN, is serving the
Little family.
