I recently photographed every headstone / marker in the Community Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wayne County, WV. This cemetery has some of the most beautiful headstones that I have seen. Many old family cemeteries were moved here when the East Lynn Lake was built. The old markers are something to see. I decided to do this project while at the cemetery for my Clark line (Absalom & Malinda Clark). When I realized that there are so many people that can’t travel to Wayne, for various reasons, I wanted to create a photo CD set for those who could not get to the cemetery.
This cemetery has many early Wayne County families such as, Adkins, Clark, Queen, Fry, Finley, Maynard, Napier, Spence, Ramey, Lycans, Frasher and many more. If you are a descendant of these families, you will be pleased with this CD set.
Some of the old family cemeteries that were moved here are the Clark Cemetery, John L. Frasher Cemetery, Fry-Salem Cemetery, Davis Cemetery, Floyd Adkins Cemetery, Goble Frye Cemetery, Sally Queen Jones Cemetery, Spence Cemetery, Bluelick Cemetery, Noah Adkins Cemetery, Long Point Cemetery, Ross Cemetery, Jesse Ramey Cemetery and more. This cemetery also has the graves of current descendants in many of these families.
