Flossie F. Frye - West End (Moore County, North Carolina)
Flossie F. Frye, 90, formerly of West End, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Brandywine Nursing Home in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Eagle Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Hinson, Dr. Zeb Moss, and a nephew, the Rev. James Humphrey, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 23, at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.
A native of Moore County, Ms. Frye she was the last survivor of the 12 children born to the late Andrew and Margaret Rosser Fry. She worked for many years as a hostess at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst.
In addition to her parents and 11 siblings, Ms. Frye was preceded in death by a son, Richard Medford, and two grandchildren, Michael Beauchamp and Billy Medford.
Ms. Frye is survived by a daughter, Elsie Beauchamp and her husband, David, of New Windsor, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Donna Lewis, Teri Kincade and Richard Medford; and several great-grandchildren.
