I don't know if we connect or not, Norma. We have a number of Jonas Haywoods in our line.
My G-Grandfather Jonas Haywood3 immigrated to America about 1858 from Saddleworth, Yorkshire, England, with his father, Jonas Haywood2, wife Ann Harrison and several children. Believe the Jonas2 family went to Illinois immediately but Jonas3 did go to New Hampshire when my grandfather, Bert, was born in 1879. While there he and his wife, Sarah Wentworth, must have stayed with relatives although the relatives might have been from her side as she was from Maine.
My GG-grandfather was Jonas Haywood2, son - another Jonas Haywood1.
Doubt at this time if we are related but we should stay alert to that possibility and keep our message exchange in mind - especially if your line leads back to Yorkshire. Best to you, Kay
