Another Fry/Noble connection/early 1600's/VA
Hello my Fry cousins,
Once again, I'm seeking info. Hope you can help.
I descend from the marriage of David & Sarah Fry Noble in 1776, NC.
Sarah's family came from VA in the mid 1700's to Anson/Montgomery County, NC.
What I have is from a book: Early Virginia Immigrants 1623-1666 -
1) Micheal Noble, 1643, by Thomas Fry of James City County.
2) Miles Noble, 1653, by William Fry of James City County.
I looked through the book: Our Maryland Heritage: The Fry Family for clues and came up with nothing.
My questions:
1) Since the above book is 10 years old, has new Fry info come out that connects our Joseph Fry to the above mentioned Thomas & William Fry?
2)Does anyone know if James City County changed names andwhat the years are?
3) Does anyone know the migration pattern of the above Thomas & William Fry familes?
Gut feeling tells me these familes may have known each other prior to coming to the colonies and continued their association all the way into Anson County, NC.
Records are scarce in Anson/Montgomery County, NC., making research difficult to say the least so I'm wroking with connected family names in trying to pick up the Noble trail prior to 1772.
Any thoughts or leads are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cory
