Don't you mean you have pictures of George Fruits Jr.'s , also known as "Alamo George", grave marker at the Stonebraker Cemetery east of Alamo?
George Sr, also known as "German George" AND "Flag Bearer George" is buried near Brookville, IN in an unmarked, therefore lost, grave on the family farm. It isn't possible to have a picture of his marker, as stated.
Both father and son served in the Revolutionary War, so the mistake is made when those just now getting into this Fruits family's genealogy think only George Jr. was in the war and carried a flag. It was his father that got the flag shot out of his hands several times, leaving only a small piece of the pole.
George Jr.'s 2-great granddaughter,
Joyce Davis Jones
