Seeking any information about the ancestry and life of John PATTIE, born at Lowick, Northumberland England ~ 1825. He was I believe the son of a James PATTIE & Jane nee CURL?? John was the brother of my great great grandfather James PATTIE. James married Grace nee HORNE at Bethel Chapel, Glendale, Lowick in 1843. The couple came to Australia and settled at Ballaarat, Victoria. I believe John also came to Australia ~ 1851 and worked as some type of Contractor in Melbourne. He married a Maria nee MORFFEW in 1853. When Maria died in 1863 at Ballaarat I believe John travelled north to Queensland and married a second time to a Thirza nee FROST. I know nothing of his exact whereabout after this period and have absolutely no idea when and/or where John (or Thirza) died! I believe too that there was a sister to James & John called Elizabeth (b, 1823) but do not know whether she ever came to Australia? Does anyone know more about this intriguing part of my ancestry and can perhaps fill in the gaps? Perhaps someone can also provide a more complete genealogy prior to James & Jane PATTIE?? Anyone with photographs too would be most welcome. I have no photos of any of these ancestors and would dearly love to have some.
