I am researching John Frost and his wife Margaret Mitchell of Athens co OH 1850. I am also interested in William Aaron Frost, son of Samuel and Ester (Miles) Frost. I have just discovered that "Aaron" and wife Phoebe (Primm) migrated to Cedar, Van Buren co Iowa in about 1854 and are listed in the Iowa state census of 1856 in Cedar on pages 420/421. In that same census my John and Margaret Frost are listed on pages 422/423. The census states that John and Margaret migrated to Iowa in about 1855. What is the connection between these two Frost families?
In 1860 Aaron is still in Iowa, John and family are in Macon co MO. In 1870 Aaron and Phoebe are in Chariton co MO where Aaron dies in 1876. John has died sometime after 1860 in Macon co MO. In the 1880 Chariton co MO census John's two sons, John Henry Frost and James Mathew Frost are living in Chariton co MO. By 1885 John Henry Frost is in Ottawa, Franklin co MO. Some of Aaron Frost descendents are in Lincoln co OK at the same time my Frost family is. The two Frost families share the same given names with some of their children and grandchildren, namely Aaron, Benjamin, William, Eunice. Elizabeth etc.
I would like to know if any of the Samuel Frost descendents out there has a copy of his Will or Estate papers probably dated 1855 or shortly after. Could Samuel Frost of Athens co OH be the uncle of my John Frost? It is said that Samuel Frost's father was Benjamin Frost. Does anyone have a list of children that this Benjamin Frost had? Where and when did he die? I think I'm very close to discovering the parentage of John Frost but need help in putting all the pieces together!
