Marcia, I have spent several weeks reviewing all the data I have on FRONK/FRANK in 1700' and early 1800's in Pennsylvania. The Jacob FRONK mentioned in 1888 History of Beaver County is my Gr Gr Gr grandfather. Although he died in Beaver County, I have no record of when or where buried. There are several Beaver County Cemeteries that contain his descendants. The last record I have of this Jacob is 1840 census and an 1840 tax record in Raccoon Twp, Beaver Co. He does not appear in 1850 census - so I presume he died in the 1840's. Jacob Sr had at least 3 children that I am fairly confident: George 1791-1866 - my ancestor Rheinholdt 1799- 1871 Jacob Jr. 1802-1872 - father of 1835 Joseph C Fronk(GAR) As for Jacob Sr's birthday, I can only deduct that he was married ~1790 at around age 25 (a typical age for Fronk men), which would make him born in 1765. As for Jacob Sr's father I found these 2 marriages that might fit: PA Archives Series 2 Vol 2 re Pa Marriages, pg 92 1762 Jan 16 George Frank and Mary Elizabeth 1772 Jan 9 Jacob Frank and Mary Magdalan Schlosser I note 2 Jacob Frank in 1790 PA census for Phila, but have no linkage to our Jacob. But the earliest geographic sites I can prove are 1791 George was living in Allegheny Co St Clair Twp in 1816 when his 1st son, Solomon was born, and 1826 when he bought 400acres land in Beaver County. Jacob Sr had tavern licenses in 1829 and 1831 in St Clair Twp Allegheny co. Another tidbit that might help to link to some of your work further east in PA: It seems that both 1791 George and 1799 Rheinholdt were petitioners to get the New Philadelphia Society to split off from the New Harmony Society. I gather these people were somewhat clannish - did not want their members learning English. In 1830's the Fronk's - 1791 George, Jacob his father, son and daughters were listed as members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Raccoon Twp (twp created in 1833) Hope to hear from you, and maybe learn more about a distant relative!
