Hi Gary,
I just recently found the Froman name while searching for another family and since you have been at it so long (after reviewing Genforum) I was hoping you might be able to help me.
I am looking for a Mary Owens who married Mr. Froman (no first name available).Mary's parents were William Owens (1741-1808)and Mary Swan (b. abt 1745)who were married in 1764. I do not know when Mary Owens was born but I would venture to say somewhere between 1765-1790.She is a sister to the line of Martha Owens who married Mr. Barnhill that I have been trying to learn more about for over 40 years.
Also, the Owens family started out in Lebanon Co., PA and William died in Smith Co., Tn.I do know that Mary was married by 1808 when her father died as she is mentioned in his will as Mary Frooman (their spelling). The Owens family supposedly moved to South Carolina before ending up in Tennessee, but I have not been working on this line long enough to have any proof of this.
I know this is probably more than you wanted to here about the Owens/Swan/Froman/Barnhill families, but am hoping I could find out more about Mary and her Mr. Froman and maybe sometime in the future have it connected to my Owens/Barnhill/Swan line.
Would appreciate any help you might be able to give me on this matter, but if you do not have anything on this couple then I completely understand.Sometimes I've been able to help others on their lines and sometimes not.
Thank you for your time.
