I hope this is still your current contact information as I have finally figured out where Greenberry Froman fits in.He is undoubtedly the son of Jacob Froman of Crawford Co Indiana. The 1820 census showed a male under 10,but I never knew who he was.Jacob's only other sons were his first two children:Abraham, born 1796, and James, born 1798.There appear to have been only daughters in between. One of these daughters was Sarah Froman, born 1800, who married John Miles in 1824 in Crawford Co Indiana. After 1830John and Sarah Miles migrated to Warren Co Illinois,a fact I have known for some time, but I finally investigated them and discovered to my surprise that Jacob Froman, an aged man,was in the 1840 census, too, quite near them.He obviously accompanied them and there in the 1850 census was the youngest son of Jacob,Greenberry Froman and wife Rachel.Presumably Jacob Froman may have died in Warren Co Ill.,but whether he had enough property to justify an estate administration I doubt?
Jacob Froman of Crawford Co Indiana was the son of Jacob and Barbara Froman of Ky who are found in the records of Bullitt, Mercer, and Woodford Counties.Jacob Jr's wife was named Mary, but she was NOT "Mary Margaret Dawson"as you will often see posted on the internet. Her maiden name is unknown to me.Margaret Dawson had married your Jacob's cousin, Jacob (son of Paul Froman Jr).
