Frohock Family Genealogy Forum

I am directly descended from Nancy Frohock, who married Charles Piper from the Belfast, Maine area. Having the good fortune to live up here, I've starting doing research on the family, and there is a good bit of information to be had. There was an article published in "The Republican Journal" that explains how Thomas Frohock b. Sept. 1, 1749 in England was pressed into the English service when he was 17 years of age. Once he reached America, he deserted, and joined up with George Washington's army. For all his assistance, etc, he was given a large tract of land in Meredith, New Hampshire, where he married Catherine Kelley, and raised 15 children. Three of his sons emigrated to the Waldo County area in the early 1800s. You can find more on the family line by going to the following url: http://www.kittymunson.com/GEDbrows/g1271.html#I25433
I have been able to locate some of the family graves here, and have a (not so good) picture of Nancy's grave. If I can be of further assistance, don't hesitate to ask. Sharon
