I'm not sure it has been actually proven that her surname was FROGLEY, however I suggested this may be the case as the family were intermarried for serveral centuries in and around the surrounding area of the parish of Denchworth, Berkshire. The village is between Oxford (to the north) and Wantage (to the South). Most of the entries for the surname FROGLEY on the IGI have been submitted by family members in the USA. From copies of the original research, I can tell you very little was done in the counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Staffordshire, etc. The entries that are on the IGI have been found in general parish extraction (etc.) done by the Latter-day Saints Church. So in other words it is still quite possible that her surname was Frogley -just that her christening has not been found. I have not been able to line anything up with my records - but would point out Denchworth Parish Registers do have gaps.

GEOFFREY FROGLEY
