Rather than sending e-mail, here are some of my notes and sources: I hope this is of some help. Please let me know of anything you may have discovered. Personal Notes: Robert Fryth, transported to Charles City County in October 1650. He may have later moved to York County and married Elizabeth. A court record for May 1658, shows that Elizabeth Frith was a widow of Robert with two minor children, Joseph and Ann Frith. A will executed in 1677 in Rappahannock County, lists this family: Father: Nathaniel (died 1677) Mother: Elizabeth Children: Nathaniel and William (both under 17 years old) Goddaughter: Rebecca Williams, daughter of Jone Williams A deed recorded in Chesterfield County, dated 1754: Joseph Frith buys some land from his father, John Frith, with instructions that he cannot sell it while his father and mother are alive. Witnesses include Rebeckah Frith and John Frith, Jr. A Chesterfield County court record for September 1781, indicate that John Frith has died. [ Is this John, Jr? ] Court record for October 1786, indicate that John's widow, Martha, has died. Children of John and Martha are listed as: William, Sally, Archer, Drury, and Henry. Joseph Frith is listed on 1779 census for Bedford County, mentioned in a 1781 Bedford County will, and listed on the 1786 Franklin County tax roll. No Frith's are shown on the 1787 tax list for Bedford or Franklin county. [is this the same Joseph that is listed as the son of John Frith, Sr.? Did he die in 1787? Next mention of Joseph after 1786 is marriage of Joseph and Latetia in 1792.] SOURCES "Early Virginia Immigrants, 1623 - 1666". George Cabel Green. Genealogical Publishing Co., Baltimore. 1978.
