Dear Lisa:

I don't know if this is any information you could use...I am researching my paternal family name (SCHAUFUS/SCHAUFUSS) and am in the midst of mis-information! However, I do know that my great-great grandfather William Schaufus was married to Caroline Fritchie, from Saxony Germany (we believe Glachau). They had August Schaufus (my great grandfather b. 1852) and he came to the US on or about 1883. I do not know if they had any other children, but think there were siblings named Louis and Frederick. Just finding out information about August and his wife Ida Seidel has ben very frustrating. Please let me know if you think there is a link.
