My Fritchey family seems to have entered the U.S. about 1824, in Philadelphia, then one brother went to Harrisburg, PA ... the other went to Coshocton, Ohio. There Francis Xaver Fritchey had a grocery and book store and produced several children: MAry Elizabeth, who married a Williamson; Alexander Harper F. who married Gertrude Sharp; Lydia Ann who married a Myers; Sarah Ellen who married a Howard; and William Burns F. who married [1] Amelia Cray,[2] Sophia Muth.
The brother in PA ... Johann Evangeliste [called John] married a Mary Stocker and his lineage is followed in the familysearch.com ...having been submitted by one of the direct descendants of this John. There was also a book, now probably out of print, about this branch of the Fritcheys.
They were from Hufingen, Wurttemburg and were fairly prosperous. Dorothy
