Ivy surname

I can tell you where the name Ivy comes from. Louisa Pace, who married Bartholomew Fritch, was the daughter of Robert Pace and Hannah Louise Lennox. Robert Pace appparently died sometime before 1843 because Hannah Pace married David Ivy on Nov 21 1843 in Shelby Co., Indiana. Daughter Louisa, who was a young child at the time, went by the name Louisa Ivy though her legal name was Pace. I remember older members of the family saying that her name was Ivy and I thought this was a first name for many years until find the documentation.
