Hello, Mary,
I am so glad to hear from you and thank you for the info you've provided!

Here is additional info I have:

Christine Emilie (Levrault de or dit) Langis My Gr-gr-grandmother)
Born : Batiscan (St. Francois Xavier)
Birth Date: April 11, 1817

Married(1): (Stanislas) Richard Grant at Trois-Rivieres, February 10, 1847. Son of HBC Chief Trader Richard Grant and Metisse Marie Anne Breland. Died at Soda Springs, Idaho, 1852

Married(2): -?- Vasquez, c1855, Half Moon Bay, California

Married(3): Jerome McNeil of Vernon River, 1863. "Emilia L. de Langis of South West Bedeque" was married by her brother, Rev. F.X. Langie, parish priest.

Emilie’s Children:
(m1) (Joseph) Richard Grant born in Idaho
(m1) Louis Grant born in Idaho
(m2) Phillip Vasquez. Born c1856

Emelie's Father: Jean Levreault/Jean Langis/Jean Baptiste Levreault/other variations. Son of Joseph Leuvreau and Marie Anne Roi of the parish of St. Francois Xavier of Batiscan.

Married May 11, 1807

Emilie's Mother: Madeleine Frigon, daughter of Joseph Frigon and (deceased) Madelene La-?- of the parish of St. Genevieve River. After her husband died, she moved to South West Bedique, PEI, August, 1864, to be near her son, F.X. Langie, the parish priest at Bedique. Madeleine died in 1866 at the Parochial House of
South West Bedeque.

Emilie moved to PEI c1860. c1870, at different times, Emilie, her 3rd husband and sons moved to Manitoba where her brother-in-law, John Francis Grant was farming in the Carman area. Emilie is believed to have died around 1896 in the Winnipeg area.

I've pretty much exhausted all search avenues for any kind of record of her death and burial. I'm wondering if she might have been buried in PEI with her mother.

Any information about where and when Emilie died and was buried, her parents, siblings -anything at all- I would be so grateful for.

I'll be happy to share whatever information I can.
My sincere thanks!
Anita Grant Steele
