Emigration of Friesners from Europe to U

Hello all fellow Friesners. I've just found this site and think it is a great way of tracing family lines, filling in the gaps and just finding out about others around the world who bear our uncommon name.
I am 47, divorced and live in Crewe, Cheshire, Great Britain. My daughter who is 19 is interested in our family history and my cousin has traced the name back to Poland about 400 years ago but I have no information as to how it jumped the pond to the USA. Has anyone any ideas about this?
Another interest I have is WW2 flyers. My father and uncle flew bombers from the UK and I wondered if any Friesners from overseas were stationed in the UK during the war. Anybody out there remember Lakenheath, Burtonwood or any other USAAF base or flyers named Friesner?
Hope to hear from you soon, all the best, Paul Friesner.
