Would like to communicate with anyone who might have information on Alice (McCauley) Friesen (est. d.o.b. 1893) w/o Paul Friesen and d/o [James] Harry McCauley. It is possible that her birth name may have been Mary (a common family name) Alice. Her father and all of his brothers went by their middle names for some unknown reason.
A letter was recently discovered discovered in some old family papers that she wrote in 1980 to her first cousin Harry L. McCauley (who was already diseased) requesting family Genealogy information. At the time of the writing she was living at 524 Cincinnati, San Antonia, TX 78201-5505 with her son MSGT Glenn J Friesen (USAF Retired)
In the letter she states that she is 87 years old with cataracts on both eyes. So the handwriting is difficult to make out in places. She mentioned her three boys by name: Harry, Paul (single) & Glenn (married) she also made reference to her two daughters (no names) both married.
She had one known brother Glenn McCauley who died in 1952.
Her son Glen (b. 2 Jun 1920) that she was living with died 12 Oct 1983 and is buried in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (Section 2 Site 17) His last known address was: 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road San Antonio, TX 78209
