I am attempting to locate information in regards to a place called Friesental ( or Friesenthal) which was, apparently, west of the Mennonite village of Hochfeld ( now called Morosovka) in South Russia. My grandmother was a Friesen and apparently "Friesental" was the name of the farm or area in which they lived and from where they fled in 1923. My grandfather Gerhard Harder married Katharina Friesen, daughter of Julius Friesen. I would also appreciate hearing from anyone who has information of the area - it is my hope to eventually visit there.
