I am looking for more information about my great grandfather Johann Johann Friesen. He was born Dec 12, 1889 in Lugtistal, Crimea; possibly a twin. The twin possibly died in childhood?
His parents are believed to be Johann Friesen and Katherien Reimer (or Friese?).
Johann married Maria Thiessen (b. Aug 16, 1888 Furstenwerder, Russia) on Oct 11, 1918 in Lustigstal, Crimea.
He immigrated to Canada with his wife and children in January 1926 under the Canadian Mennonite Board of Colonization.
Information regarding his family would be very helpful.
