Michael,

The Mennonite's were originally from Holland. But as with all their other moves they were looking for religious freedom.

I haven't found a dirrect connection between our families. Do you know where your Friesen's settled when the came to the US? My Friesen's came over in 1874, on the ship Frisia. They mostly settled in Kansas.
