Sorry, don't remember any previous contact, but delighted you've responded. I work for Historically Correct Maps & Graphics, handling the research end of Columbia County, PA historic maps. The Briarcreek area is an area we'll be mapping shortly. We're Land Records specialists and we have close working ties with both the CCHGS and the State Archives. I've been working independently on an early history of the Fishing Creek Valley and it ought to be published within two years. Have eliminated a Freas-Freeze connection but still want to know if John Freas was politically active in Fries Rebellion before he came to Briarcreek. Is John Freas connected at all to Fries? I'm into this connection at the behest of an elderly friend from the Philip Hoffman line. If you can help me out, I'd be most appreciative.
