Hi Jerry,
I saw you post that you have allot of history on the Friedrich's from Louisiana. I hope you can help me! My family line is orginially spelled FRIERDICH, which my Grandfather changed to our current spelling after his father died. Anyway, The family stories say the line started in Louisana and then my line branched off and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. Back in LA, my Uncle said the family had a rice plantation which was quite large at the time but lost it during the civil war. I can not find anything on my line there with the spelling I have. It is also said they are connected to the FRIERDICH Airconditioner makers line.
My great-grandfather was Frank Frierdich, Jr. born 28 Jan 1880 in Cincinnati, Oh and died 22 Dec 1946 in Ft. Thomas, Ky. He married Elizabeth Koch in Aug 1905. His father was Frank Frierdich, Sr born in 1850 and died 18 May 1912 in Cincinnati. He married Rose Thuman, no information on her except she may of been born in Cincinnati. Marriage date unknown. They alos had two other children; Elizabeth and Herman but I don't have any dates from them.
I'm wondering if maybe my line changed the spelling of the last name when they moved to Ohio. If you can offer any insight I would deeply appreciate it! Thank you,
